Labinot Haliti has been around the Hyundai A-League for number of years and believes the pre-season at the Wanderers has been as good, and gone as smoothly as any he-s had previously.
After having their first hit-out against a Hyundai A-League opponent last Friday, Haliti was excited about the prospect of facing competition like that every week.
“That-s what we-re going to up against every week, it was our first hit-out against an A-League opponent and I thought we did well,” Haliti said. “So far, so good, we were pretty solid across the park so it is hopefully a sign of things to come.”
After creating a number of opportunities throughout the 90 minutes, the former Newcastle Jets player knows how hard you have to work to make everything right.
“You know, some days they go in and sometimes not,” he added. “Today they didn-t but we just have to keep putting ourselves out there and create where we can.”
With the pre-season camp now complete, the Wanderers have returned to their home base in Blacktown, with Haliti believing we will now see the squad come together and be stronger as a result.
“It-s been great, last week was a great mix of everything. We trained, we played, we had group sessions and most of all we got to spend time together and become closer. I have noticed a better camaraderie amongst the playing group already,” Haliti said.
