Fazzari’s Red & Black Rise

When 17-year-old midfielder and winger Nikkita Fazzari puts on the Red & Black this season, she’ll be creating a piece of club history as the very first player from the Wanderers Girls Academy to sign with the Wanderers Ninja A-League team.

Her progression is a milestone for the Wanderers’ player pathway and a reward for years of dedication, development and standout performances.

“Coming through the Girls Academy gave me the perfect foundation to grow as a player and as a person,” said Fazzari.

“I was lucky enough to train alongside the A-League women’s squad, and from day one, I was welcomed into a professional environment where I felt both supported and challenged. That experience really cemented my goal.

“This is where I want to be and I’m grateful for the opportunity to take this next step.”

Fazzari’s journey has already been marked by achievements across both football and futsal. In 2023, she was named the NSW Futsal Premier League Player of the Year and claimed the Golden Boot in the U17 Girls category.

On the international stage, she represented Australia at the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers, scoring five goals and finishing as the team’s leading scorer as Australia secured its place at the 2025 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.

Those achievements speak to her versatility, creativity and goalscoring instinct, qualities that now make her an exciting addition to the Wanderers Ninja A-League squad.

“This season, I’m focused on learning as much as I can from the experienced players around me and pushing myself both physically and mentally,” she said.

“I want to continue growing my game and contribute to the team.”

Her rise hasn’t come without challenges, with an injury setback testing her resilience. Fazzari was quick to acknowledge the people who helped her through those moments.

“A big thanks to my Dad. He’s been there from the very start, driving me to early morning sessions and supporting me through everything,” she said.

“I also want to thank the girls and the staff for their support during a tough injury period. And of course, a massive thank you to coach Geoff for giving me the opportunity to be part of this club. I’m incredibly grateful.”

For Fazzari, representing the Wanderers is about more than personal growth, it’s about pride in the badge and the community she represents.

“To all the incredible Wanderers members and fans, your support makes me proud to play for this club and I can’t wait to give everything for this badge.”

Fazzari’s signing not only strengthens the Wanderers Ninja A-League side but also shines a spotlight on the club’s growing pathway for young female players in Western Sydney.

Her story is just the beginning of what promises to be a bright Red & Black future.
