With the new Ninja A-League season approaching, midfielder Estelle Fragale is ready to embrace the next chapter of her career with Western Sydney Wanderers.
The 22-year-old joined the Red & Black following several strong seasons with APIA Leichhardt in the NPL Women’s NSW competition, where she built a reputation as a hard-working and combative presence in midfield.
Now stepping into the professional environment with the Wanderers, Fragale is eager to test herself at the next level.
“I am really excited to join Western Sydney Wanderers and take that next step,” said Fragale.
“I’ve played NPL with APIA Leichhardt for a number of years and I feel ready to challenge myself in the A-League. I’m looking forward to contributing to the team in a professional environment.”
Primarily operating as a defensive midfielder, Fragale’s game is built around energy, intensity and a willingness to do the work that often goes unnoticed.
“I’m quite hardworking and always aim to do the dirty work for my team,” she said.
“I like to be involved in the game, break up play and help my team move forward. I bring a lot of energy and commitment for my team always.”
Her performances at NPL level have earned her the opportunity to make the step into the Ninja A-League, but Fragale knows there is still plenty of room to grow.
For the midfielder, the upcoming season is as much about continuing her own development as it is about making an impact for the team.
“I am looking forward to challenging myself and becoming more confident and consistent,” she said.
“Most definitely ensuring I make the most of this opportunity and contribute to the team’s success.”
As preparations continue ahead of the new campaign, Fragale will be looking to bring the same competitiveness and work ethic that defined her time at APIA into the Wanderers midfield.
For a player who has worked her way through the NPL pathway, the new season represents an opportunity to prove herself on the national stage and make the most of her first Ninja A-League campaign in Red & Black.
