Wanderer Gabrielle Dracopoulous took home the 2018 Chairman’s Award at last night’s Wanderers Medal at Waterview in Bicentennial Park.
The Chairman’s Award is dedicated to an individual from the Western Sydney community who has shown generosity, compassion, a selfless act or ongoing commitment to a cause that positively affects our region.
Gabrielle has spent most of her life giving back her time and skills for people that are in need.
Gabrielle helps women returning to the workplace after having children get their resumes updated and supports other mums who have one or many children who suffer from autism.
Outside of work, Gabrielle mentors multiple women in the Western Sydney community and overseas in recognising the value that they bring and help them develop their confidence to take on life.
Gabrielle has also built her own career around advocating for the most vulnerable people in the community who may have been impacted by financial abuse, family violence and mental health issues. She represents the voice of some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society.
Through championing the benefits of football, Gabrielle sits on the board of Parramatta City FC and was a mentor as part of the inaugural W-League Mentoring Program.
