Josep Gombau has named his squad for Saturday’s Hyundai A-League Round 16 match against Wellington Phoenix at Westpac Stadium.
There are four additions to the match day squad that drew 1-1 last night against Adelaide United, with Josh Risdon, Jaushua Sotirio and Abraham Majok all being added, along with youth product Tass Mourdoukoutas.
Gombau will however be without skipper Robbie Cornthwaite and midfielder Chris Herd after the pair picked up bookings last night.
The Wanderers’ resolve will be tested in this fixture, with the side having just today to recover from the Adelaide game before flying out to Wellington on Friday morning.
The game will mark the first time the two sides have met this season in the league after their first scheduled match was postponed.
The two sides did however face off in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 in August last year, with Oriol Riera grabbing an extra-time winner to clinch a 1-0 win for the Red & Black.
