Josep Gombau has named his squad for Sunday’s Hyundai A-League Round 27 match against Adelaide United at ANZ Stadium.
Kids under 16 go FREE to the game and Adult tickets are only $10!
There are three additions to the squad, with Roly Bonevacia coming back into the side, Mark Bridge returning from injury and Michael Thwaite returning from suspension.
The Wanderers stand on the brink of finals football but they’ll need a result against the traveling Adelaide United, who come into the round having already sealed their place in the finals.
The Wanderers will be hoping to ride their momentum after last week’s 3-0 win over Brisbane Roar here at ANZ Stadium, while Adelaide will be looking to pick themselves up after a 3-0 loss to Sydney FC.
Wanderers boss Josep Gombau will nonetheless be wary of the challenge posted by Marco Kurz’s outfit, who have had more to celebrate in the three meetings between the two sides this season.
They first met in October in a Westfield FFA Cup Semi Final in Campbelltown, where the Reds prevailed with a 2-1 victory.
Adelaide backed that up with a 2-0 win at Coopers Stadium in Round 8 of the Hyundai A-League before the two sides shared the points in a 1-1 draw at ANZ Stadium in Round 15.
