This Saturday, the Wanderers take on their original rivals Central Coast Mariners in Round 2 of the Hyundai A-League.

It’s also a special night for the club, with the fixture dedicated to raising awareness of the incredible work Ronald McDonald House Westmead do in keeping families together.

The Red & Black come into the match on the back of a great start to the season as Oriol Riera and Jumpei Kusukami both got onto scoresheet to secure an impressive 2-1 victory over Perth Glory on Sunday.

Debutants Álvaro Cejudo and Raúl Llorente also made fantastic first impressions and fans will hoping that they can replicate these performances tonight.

Josh Risdon returns to the squad and is available for selection after helping the Socceroos edge past Syria in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers this week.

Saturday’s visitors arrive at Spotless after a tough opening round at home, being thrashed 5-1 in the F3 Derby, as former Mariner Roy O’Donovan came back to haunt the club with a hat-trick.

It was a match that Central Coast were leading when their own Spaniard Asdrúbal scored after five minutes and Paul Okon will be hoping his side can give the Wanderers a sterner test this evening.

Be sure to also keep your eyes peeled for tonight’s half-time activation.

Alix Roberts

Wanderer Alix Roberts will be heading to the field with a number of families from Ronald McDonald House to participate in a penalty shoot-out.

Our friends from Mitsubishi Electric will also be getting into the action, donating $1,000 to the house for every goal scored.

Remember to grab you Ronald McDonald socks from the gate today with all proceeds going directly to Ronald McDonald House.
