Hooker signs deal until 2025/26

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed that Liberty A-League head coach Robbie Hooker has signed a two-year contract extension that will see him at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Hooker joined the Wanderers prior to the season commencing and has already guided the Red & Black to some very positive results under his leadership.

Under Hooker, the Wanderers are on the cusp of securing their spot in their second-ever Finals Series appearance and have seen striker Sophie Harding break the club’s record for most goals scored in a single season.

Western Sydney Wanderers Chairman Paul Lederer spoke highly of Robbie’s journey so far.

“We are delighted with the progress that Robbie and his team have made with our Liberty A-League squad this season,” said Lederer.

“Robbie has ensured that our Wander Women are competitive and follow our club values and expectations.

“The next two seasons will give Robbie the opportunity to continue to build this team into the future and we are excited to see what’s in store for our next generation of Wander Women.”

Western Sydney Wanderers CEO Scott Hudson spoke about Robbie’s positive impact on the Liberty A-League squad.

“Since arriving in Western Sydney, Robbie has made an instant impact and ensured that our Wander Women are a competitive side week-in and week-out,” said Hudson.

“Robbie’s journey at Wanderland has started positively and the extension ensures that we have stability in our Women’s football programs for the next two years.

“We have big ambitions for our Liberty A-League Women’s team and we believe that Robbie will help us achieve them.”

Head coach Robbie Hooker thanked the club’s belief in him.

“My start at the club was definitely a rollercoaster ride, but I wouldn’t change a thing,” said Hooker.

“I am delighted with the way our Wander Women have responded and absorbed the information my team has given them and we have started to build a strong foundation for seasons to come.

“I would like to thank the club and the board for their ongoing support and I’m excited for the next two seasons with the Western Sydney Wanderers.”
