Western Sydney Wanderers FC are delighted to announce the return of defender Angelique Hristodoulou for the next two Liberty A-League seasons.
With close to 50 A-Leagues appearances to her name, Hristodoulou returns back to where it all started having kicked off her career in 2016 with the Red & Black.
The defender has spent the last five seasons at the club’s cross-town rivals where she was crowned the Winner and Runner-Up of the domestic competition on multiple occasions.
Hristodoulou said she was excited to be back where it all started this Liberty A-Leagues season.
“I am very much looking forward to a fresh start with one of the biggest clubs in the competition and I am excited to be back where it all started for me,” said Hristodoulou.
“The club has recruited experienced personnel in Tom Sermanni and Kat Smith which will only help develop me even more as a player.
“I am accustomed to the winning culture that Kat is building amongst the team this season. I love her passion, professionalism and the winning mentality that she is instilling in the team.
“Personally, I want to be a dominant figure within the team and build upon the silverware I have collected over the years with this group of girls in Western Sydney.”
