Head coach Ufuk Talay has named his extended squad for Saturday night’s clash against Melbourne City at AAMI Park.
The Western Sydney Wanderers will be aiming to make it four matches unbeaten when they travel to AAMI Park to take on Melbourne City this Saturday.
Ufuk Talay’s side head into the clash following a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Macarthur FC, where the Red & Black dominated possession and created a host of opportunities but were unable to find the breakthrough.
The result continued the Wanderers’ unbeaten start to the campaign, with the squad now looking to turn their promising performances into another three points on the road.
Melbourne City will enter the contest with confidence after securing their first victory of the season, coming from behind to defeat Sydney FC 2-1 last weekend. Second-half goals from Emiliano Marcondes and Awer Mabil completed the turnaround for Aurelio Vidmar’s side.
With both teams looking to build momentum in the early stages of the season, the Wanderers will be determined to maintain their strong start and deliver another statement performance away from home.
