Ins & Outs: Mariners v Wanderers

Head coach Marko Rudan has named his extended squad for Saturday night’s blockbuster clash against Central Coast Mariners. Ins & Outs brought to you by ABAL Banking.

The Red & Black will be looking to build on their recent performance against Newcastle after being forced to settle for a point at McDonald Jones Stadium last Sunday.

After going behind when Angus Thurgate put the Jets up against the run of play in the 37th minute, the Wanderers were finally able to convert their control of the ball into a goal when Oliver Bozanic equalised via a 64th-minute penalty.

It was a frustrating result for the Red & Black who dominated and created majority of the chances, but simply weren’t able to convert.

Central Coast will be looking to be bounce back on Saturday night from a recent loss against Wellington Phoenix.

The least and most likely goalscorers both found the net in Wellington’s 2-1 win over the Mariners, marking the side’s third straight win this season.
