Ins & Outs for Sunday’s match against Perth

The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers will look to kick-off their Hyundai A-League season on a high when they host Perth Glory at Spotless Stadium on Sunday evening.

Tickets to the match are available here.

It was a watershed week in the club’s history as inaugural head coach Tony Popovic bid farewell for the club to pursue an opportunity in Europe.

Hayden Foxe has stepped into the caretaker role and will look to keep the players focused on building on the winning mentality that has seen the club progress to the Westfield FFA Cup semi finals.

Apart from Josh Risdon and youngster Mark Tokich, who are both away on international duty with the Socceroos, Foxe has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Amongst those are Spanish duo Àlvaro Cejudo and Raúl Llorente, with the pair still yet to make their competitive debuts for the club.

Marquee man Oriol Riera is expected to lead the line and Wanderers fans will be praying he’s able to continue his sparkling pre-season form, where he’s netted four goals in three Westfield FFA Cup games.

Perth come to Spotless Stadium sporting a number of familiar faces including former Wanderers Scott Neville, Liam Reddy and Mitch Nichols, though the latter will miss out on the match through suspension.

The two sides last met in February this year, where Perth took home the points in a 2-0 win at nib Stadium.
