It’s the match we’ve all been waiting for with the Sydney Derby returning back to CommBank Stadium for the only time this season.
Marko Rudan’s side hadn’t won in the A-League Men since New Year’s Day but snapped their four-game winless streak on Sunday with a 1-0 victory courtesy of a 28th minute strike from Yeni Ngbakoto
The Wanderers were in control from start to finish and they will go into Saturday’s derby with the Sky Blues believing they can further strengthen their bid to play finals for the first time in six years.
The Sky Blues will make the trip to Western Sydney also off the back of a win, defeating Central Coast Mariners 3-2 at Allianz Stadium.
A brace from Adam Le Fondre and a goal from Joe Lolley secured the three points as well as their first back-to-back wins this season.
