Western Sydney Wanderers head coach Ufuk Talay has named his extended squad for Saturday night’s clash against Auckland at CommBank Stadium.
The Western Sydney Wanderers return to CommBank Stadium this Saturday afternoon for their first home match of the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season, taking on Auckland FC in an exciting double header at Wanderland.
Ufuk Talay’s side will be looking to secure their first three points of the campaign following a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Sydney FC in last weekend’s Sydney Derby.
The Red & Black showed plenty of promise in their opening encounter, enjoying the greater share of possession and creating a number of opportunities while remaining resolute defensively.
They now face an Auckland FC outfit arriving in Western Sydney on the back of a convincing 3-1 victory over Melbourne City, with Lachlan Bayliss scoring twice in an impressive opening performance.
Saturday’s clash will also see winger Liam Gillion come up against his former club, adding another intriguing storyline to the Wanderers’ highly anticipated homecoming.
The match kicks off at 5:00pm, following the Wanderers Women’s clash against Brisbane Roar at 2:15pm, with one ticket providing access to both fixtures.
