Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne City could not have more contrasting form lines heading into Saturday night’s A-League clash at Bankwest Stadium.

The Wanderers’ Carl Robinson revolution is gathering momentum, with the Red & Black sitting pretty in third spot on the back of a six-game unbeaten run, including Wednesday night’s 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory.

But it’s been anything but pretty reading for City fans, who have seen last season’s grand finalists lose three on the spin to sit down in ninth place on the Bunnings Warehouse ladder.

Patrick Kisnorbo’s side may hang their hopes on their recent record in this fixture, losing just one of their last six against the Wanderers.

And City striker Jamie Maclaren loves taking on the Wanderers, netting 13 goals in just 13 appearances against them.

But he’ll need to break down a defence that has yet to concede a goal from open play in 2020/21.
