Ins & Outs: Wanderers v Perth Glory

Head coach Gary van Egmond has named his extended squad for Sunday night’s clash against Perth Glory at CommBank Stadium.

The Wanderers will be looking to ignite momentum at home after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Newcastle Jets last weekend, a match that saw encouraging signs across the pitch and a first Isuzu UTE A-League goal for substitute Awan Lual.

Perth Glory arrive in Sydney after a 2-1 loss to Brisbane Roar at HBF Park, with Adam Taggart again finding the scoresheet as the experienced striker continues to lead the line for the visitors.

The last meeting between the two sides went the way of Perth Glory, who claimed a 1-0 win in Western Australia despite playing much of the match with ten players. On that occasion, the Wanderers created several late chances and will be eager to turn pressure into reward this time around.

Sunday’s clash presents an important opportunity for the Wanderers to make home advantage count and build momentum in front of their members and fans at CommBank Stadium.
