Head coach Alen Stajcic has named his extended squad for Saturday night’s blockbuster against Melbourne Victory at CommBank Stadium.
As the race for the finals heats up, the competition is starting to thin out, making this clash between sixth-placed Wanderers and fourth-placed Victory a pivotal encounter.
Alen Stajcic’s men enter the match full of confidence, riding a strong unbeaten streak of five games, including three consecutive wins.
Western Sydney showcased their attacking prowess in early March, storming to a dominant 4-1 comeback victory over Perth. Aydan Hammond was the standout performer with a brace, while Oscar Priestman and Bozhidar Kraev also found the back of the net.
That emphatic win propelled the Wanderers’ season goal tally to 43 in 19 matches, putting them on course to achieve the most prolific attacking record in club history.
Adding to their strength, the squad welcomes back Nicolas Milanovic, who returns after serving a one-match suspension for accumulated yellow cards.
Milanovic remains the club’s leading scorer with eight league goals, but Zac Sapsford is hot on his heels with seven, ensuring Western Sydney remains a serious attacking threat.
