Head coach Marko Rudan has named his squad for Saturday night’s clash against Wellington Phoenix in Wollongong. Ins & Outs brought to you by ABAL Banking.
The Red & Black’s Isuzu UTE A-League squad are back in action this Saturday night after a month off due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The last time Rudan’s men were in action was in the blockbuster Sydney Derby which saw an epic team performance result in a 1-0 victory on the other side of town.
With now a month to build on that memorable performance, the Wanderers will make the trip down South to Wollongong to face Wellington Pheonix.
Prior to the break, Wellington wrapped up the start of the season with a disappointing 3-2 loss at home to Western United.
Despite dominating much of the match, Wellington walked away empty handed after Western United’s captain Alessandro Diamanti’s free-kick in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time snatched the three points.
Wellington have had the break to reset and will be bolstered by the return of their captain Alex Rufer who was named in their extended squad this week.
