Born and raised in Sydney, Jonathan Aspropotamitisā career started as a five-year-old when he signed-up at Queens Park Football Club.
Gaining experience and confidence the more he played, Aspro soon found himself playing for Sydney Olympic as a teenager where he was spotted by Ian Crook ā then assistant coach of the Wanderers first team.

Drafted into the National Youth League set-up at Western Sydney, the centre back was thrust into the spotlight when a raft of injuries meant he made his Hyundai A-League debut against Melbourne City in Round 10 of the 2014/15 Hyundai A-League season.

An assured display and positive signs at training meant that the talented youngster kept his place at the heart of defence and finished the season with nine appearances in the Hyundai A-League and AFC Champions League.

Aspro was rewarded for his form when he signed his first senior contract on 31 May 2015.
The calm defender went on to make five appearances in 2015/16 before finding his feet in season 2016/17 where he made 29 appearances across competitions.Ā
