Kick-off times changed

Following today’s announcement of the new Free-to-Air (FTA) broadcast rights agreement with ABC TV, Football Federation Australia (FFA) today confirmed the following fixture changes.

Head of Leagues, Greg O’Rourke, said that when the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season Draw was constructed it was done in such a way to accommodate the requirements of a FTA broadcaster with minimal disruption to the fixture schedule.

“We are excited to have ABC on board as the Free-to-Air broadcaster of the Hyundai A-League for the upcoming season,” O’Rourke explained.

“As a result we have had to adjust a number of the kick-off times on Saturday and Sunday matches to accommodate their needs.

“To ensure minimal impact for fans and other stakeholders we did not move the day of any games and only adjusted kick off times and many of those by only fifteen (15) minutes.

“These amended times will also allow for ABC to broadcast one Westfield W-League match on Sunday afternoons as either part of a double header or as a stand-alone match optimising the scheduling across both Leagues’

“We look forward to expanding our broadcast reach with another exciting edition of the Hyundai A-League’ concluded O’Rourke.

In addition to the changes to kick-off times, the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season draw has also been updated to recognise that Westpac Stadium in Wellington will be renamed Sky Stadium from 1 January 2020.
