Western Sydney Wanderers FC have this morning confirmed the loan signing of forward Amor Layouni from Norwegian side Vålerenga Fotball until the end of the A-Leagues season.
The Swedish-born Tunisian forward is set to play in Australia for the first time in his career having spent majority of the last 10 years in the Nordic region.
Layouni started his career at Swedish sides Brage and Degerfors before moving to the Norwegian top-flight with Elverum and Bodø where he scored 18 goals over four seasons in the domestic competition.
The forward then spent two seasons in Egypt with Pyramids FC before returning back to the Norwegian League with Våerenga where over the last two seasons he has scored 11 goals.
Layouni said he was excited to be part of the Red & Black family.
“I am very excited to play for a club this big and when I got the opportunity (to come to the Wanderers), I didn’t think twice,” said Layouni.
“I see there is a lot of members and fans, and nice football and I want to win the Championship.”
