The Western Sydney Wanderers FNSW League One Side will be looking to consolidate their position in the top four, as they take on neighbours Blacktown Spartans at Wanderers Football Park on Saturday night.
The side are one of the in-form teams in the competition, and are seeking their fourth win in a row.
That said, last weekās match was no formality, as Tomi Vidovicās side had to come from behind with two late goals to claim a 3-2 win over a resilient St George FC outfit.
And whilst it wasnāt a vintage performance, it is the sign of a successful team when they are able to grind out results even when not at their best.
Connor Rose once again impressed, with his pace causing havoc for the defence; he won a penalty and was able to score the deciding goal last time out.
This weekās opponents are improving after a slow start to the season, they have picked up points in three of their last four games and have risen to 7th on the table as we approach the halfway point of the season.
Emmanuel Gonzalez and Hamish Lamberton have been key for the Spartans, scoring nine of their sides 13 goals between them.
But it is their defence led by Alex Gollan that will have to be on guard, as the Wanderers boast the best attack in the league, scoring 34 goals for an average of 3.4 per game.
The Wanderers will also be hoping Lochlan Constable will play more of a key role this match; the attacking midfielder returned from a long-term injury with a small cameo off the bench against St George.
The two sides met once last season, with the Wanderers coming away with a 2-1 win, a similar result will ensure they remain firmly in the promotion places.
