In what is the clash of the round, the Western Sydney Wanderers FNSW League One side face 2nd placed St George City FA at Wanderers Football Park on Saturday night.
With both teams separated by just a point in the table, it is set to be an extremely tight tussle between two teams who are harbouring strong promotion aspirations.
St George inflicted the Wanderers; first defeat of the season back in round three, with a Jordi Swibel double being cancelled out by a Paolo Mitry brace and a Jakub Prazja goal just after half-time.
Mitry and Reuben Awartife have been highly impressive going forward with four and seven goals respectively, whilst the side is well led by captain Tarik Ercan at the base of midfield.
Whilst St George have scored 19 less goals than the Wanderers 46, they hold one of the best defensive records in the competition with just 16 conceded.
For that defensive wall to be breached, the likes of Jordi Swibel and Alex Badolato will need to produce performances like they did last weekend against Hills United.
With the game in the balance, each player nabbed a goal and an assist to help lift the Wanderers to a 3-1 win in what was a potential banana-skin fixture for the team.
As Swibel and Lochlan Constable continue to get more minutes in the legs after injury layoffs, it is hoped that both players can play a key role in a fixture that could go a long way to deciding the make-up of the top four.
Both sides share the exact same form line, with four wins and a draw in their last five games; but with the Wanderers facing all of the sides in the top four within the next three weeks, gaining three points at home here are vital.
