Lesiotis pens deal

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of Anthony Lesiotis on a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old had a breakout A-League 2019/20 season with rivals Melbourne Victory featuring in 23 matches.

A central midfielder by trade, Lesiotis has also been regularly selected in the Young Socceroos squad.

Lesiotis said he was ready to get to work with head coach Carl Robinson and his new teammates.

“I spoke to Carl (Robinson) and he was interested to bring me over, I really liked the sound of the project and the plan’s he’s got for the club,” said Lesiotis.

“Last season, I learned a lot on what it’s like to play a professional season, playing regular games and learning off other players in big games.

“Hopefully with the Wanderers we can win the league and qualify for the AFC Champions League.”
