A letter to the Members from CEO John Tsatsimas

Dear Member,

We are all extremely proud in the manner our players performed in the Sydney Derby on Saturday night. They certainly could not have done this without your passionate and unfaltering support that sets the benchmark for fans and members in Australian sport. This kind of support is what this club was founded upon; totally committed, passionate and loyal to the core.

As a club and community we remain 100 per cent committed to our fantastic family friendly atmosphere at every match we share with you in Wanderland. As a club it is our job to ensure that we maintain this atmosphere at every match and reaffirm to all our Members that anti-social behaviour at any Wanderers match will never be tolerated. This expectation of respecting fellow attendees will never be compromised or diluted by the Western Sydney Wanderers. It does not matter what colour jersey or shirt your fellow attendee is wearing we will strive to ensure that there is no behaviour that compromises your match day experience or the safety of you or your fellow spectators.

Our club has dramatically reduced the number of anti-social incidents since our inception and we remain totally committed to working with the authorities, venue and Football Federation Australia to remove any individual who is misplaced in their belief that Pirtek Stadium or any other venue allows them the right to express themselves illegally or in an anti-social manner. Any incidents that arise at any of our home matches will be investigated and serious punishments will be handed down to those involved.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding of our efforts to ensure a safe environment for our Members and all fans at our matches. Please know that all Member feedback received is appreciated and we look closely into all matters so that we can address issues effectively for the benefit of all.

I look forward to seeing you at Wanderland on Wednesday night where we take on our old foes – the giants of Chinese football – Guangzhou Evergrande who will be bringing their own fervent support in significant numbers. We are expecting the largest ever turn out of away supporters experienced at Parramatta Stadium and once again encourage all Red & Black fans to get to the ground early and help cheer the boys home in our Champions League title defence.

Tomorrow night will be a great occasion and I again can’t wait to be a part of the atmosphere generated by our Members and the strong family friendly values of this club. You drive us to achieve our mission to become a globally recognised and respected football club, the pride of Western Sydney.

Come on you Wanderers!

John Tsatsimas
