Western Sydney Wanderers FC are proud to announce the signing of midfielder Ella Mastrantonio for the Westfield W-League season.
Mastrantonio broke into the national competition scene in 2009 when she signed for Perth Glory, playing in eight games in her first season of the Westfield W-League.
The experienced midfielder then made the switch to Melbourne Victory a season later and has spent her entire career in the W-League switching between the two clubs making over 80 appearances in the competition.
The Fremantle City junior last season featured in 11 matches last season for Victory and can’t wait to make history with the Red & Black.
“The club has been amazing so far and it’s a very professional set-up at the Wanderers,” said Mastrantonio.
“It’s a real honour to represent the club. You can tell their (head coach Dean Heffernan and assistants Michael Beauchamp and Catherine Cannuli) blood runs Red & Black, I’ve learned this since being here and there is such a passionate football community in Western Sydney.
“The passion runs all the way from the top of the club all the way down to the players and the staff.
“I think it will be incredible to create history with the club and we have some great characters and good people involved.”
