Midfielder Mateo Poljak has signed for another year with the NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers and hopes his move will see other players follow suit.

The23 year-old Croatian said he was thrilled to be committing to the Wanderers for the 2013-14 season.

“I love it here,” he said.

“We are like one big family and I knew as soon as I got here that this was a great move.

“Everything we do here is special and the culture and atmosphere in the club is fantastic.

“I am very happy to extend my contract and I hope it will see the other foreign players do the same so we can keep the momentum going.

“We all get on so well and we all push each other every day.

“The supporters are the best supporters I have ever seen and I love playing football in front of them.”

The club is currently in negotiations with the view to extending the deals with more of its off-contract players and expects to make some more announcements soon.

General Manager Football Operations John Tsatsimas said the club was very pleased that Poljak had decided to commit to the club.

“Mateo is a quality player and a quality person and we pleased he has re-signed,” Tsatsimas said.

The Wanderers’ next home game is against Melbourne Victory FC at 6.15pm on January 1 at Parramatta Stadium.

Kids will be allowed in for free for all Wanderers games in January.
