Matos, Marcelo take out top honours at 2024 Wanderers Medal

Danika Matos and Marcelo have been crowned 2024 Wanderers Medal Winners at the club’s annual award’s night hosted at Doltone House in Club Marconi.

After re-signing with the club last month, the good news has kept rolling for Liberty A-League player Danika Matos who was crowned the winner of the club’s Wanderers Medal.

A one-club player, Matos started her professional career with the Red & Black back in 2019 and has been a consistent part of the club’s defence.

Isuzu UTE A-League captain Marcelo was crowned the Men’s winner of the Wanderers Medal.

Marcelo, who played in his second season with the club, has been an important leader both on and off the field and a driving force of the Wanderers defence.

Nicolas Milanovic and Sophie Harding both had standout seasons for their sides and were voted the MyHR Members Players of the Year Award winners thanks to the thousands of votes from Wanderers members.

Milanovic was called up alongside teammate Lachlan Brook to collect the Isuzu UTE A-League Golden Boot award while Harding also returned to the stage to pick up her second piece of silverware for the Liberty A-League Golden Boot Award.

For his third award for the evening Milanovic was voted the winner of the Rod Allen Media Player of the Year.
