Mrcela: With them, we are unstoppable at home

Defender Tomi Mrcela is calling on all members and fans to be at the Western Sydney Wanderers clash against Wellington Phoenix on Friday night.

Family tickets are only $40 and include integrated rail transport.

The Red & Black will be pushing for second spot on the ladder when Wellington come to town with Mrcela believing that the passionate Wanderers supporters can help be the difference on Friday night.

“Look, you know we played against Sydney Derby it was very packed and it’s unbelievable,” said Mrcela.

“I want to feel a packed stadium, to see that atmosphere in our stadium.

“With them (the members and fans), we are unstoppable at home and I think they’re going to be crucial for us when Finals come.

“It’s going to be a massive one-off game so we’re going to need their help.

“We’re doing something good on the pitch, we’re fighting for the club and fighting for the people of the West. So to get them to fill up the stadium is going to be massive for us.”

Mrcela and the Wanderers have ended the club’s six year exile from the A-League Mens Finals Series and need a positive result against Wellington to push themselves further up the ladder.

Wellington will be heading into the match off the back of a 2-2 draw against Brisbane while the Wanderers will be flying high off the back of a positive 2-1 win against Melbourne Victory.

“It’s been a tough couple of years for the club, but we got over the line with that (Finals Series),” explained Mrcela.

“We’re a new team but we’ve set ourselves higher goals than Finals so it wasn’t a big celebration for us this week.

“We’ve done the first job which was secure Finals, and now Wellington is another Grand Final for us.

“We haven’t given up on second position on the ladder, so we’re going to try and get that, to try and get as high as possible on the ladder to be ready for Finals.”
