Football fans will have the unique opportunity to influence the creation of the new Hyundai A-League club for Western Sydney.
The name and colours of the New Sydney Club representing Western Sydney in the Hyundai A-League will be the key questions in an online survey targeting 40,000 fans in Sydney-s football heartland starting tonight.
Culture and values, playing style, personnel and home venue will also be key topics in the survey – click here to have your say.
“More than 500 people have attended our community forums and given us valuable first hand insights into what they believe the club should stand for and represent,” said Head of A-League Lyall Gorman.
“This survey will give us a big sample of Western Sydney-s preferences and help guide the formation of this new club.”
The first commitment by the New Sydney Club representing Western Sydney in the Hyundai A-League 2012/13 season is to build a club for the people by the people.
Already there has been a series of public forums held to gather the thoughts and opinions of a large demographic spread across the region which will continue over the next two weeks.
The support shown by the community in such a short time has been overwhelming.
Fan forums will be held at Castle Hill RSL (Thursday 26 April at 7.30pm) before heading to Campbelltown (Tuesday 1 May) and Bankstown (Thursday 3 May) in the coming week.
