Wanderers Westfield W-League goalkeeper Courtney Newbon on the club’s culture and going one further this season.
The 20-year-old had a season to remember with the Red & Black, breaking countless records with the team and making her debut in the national competition.
“From breaking countless club records to making my debut, being a part of my first professional setup with the Wanderers was very memorable for me and something I’ll never forget,” said Newbon.
“The new facilities at HQ have given us a base and having all the teams work out of the one facility has really helped to build both a team and a club wide culture.”
Looking to the season ahead, Newbon is optimistic that the Red & Black can take it one step further.
“From a personal standpoint, I just want to be the best player I can become and get as much game time as possible,” explained Newbon.
“Having broken so many club records last season, we ultimately want to take it one step further, continue to break more records and hopefully we’ll be lifting a trophy at the end of it.”
