Defender Nikolai Topor-Stanley has today said that the Wanderers haven-t changed much since the start of the season and it is great to have that winning feeling amongst the squad.

“I don-t think we-ve changed much but we just needed to get that first goal,” Topor-Stanley said. “We haven-t got all the results we-ve wanted but we-re doing that now so the feeling is good.”

Coming up against the Newcastle Jets this Saturday at Parramatta Stadium will see the Canberra born defender come up against marquee player Emile Heskey.

“There is no secret in the way that they play and they-ll probably tell you that they haven-t quite achieved that as yet.

“They have been getting the ball to Heskey and he has been putting them in the back of the net.

“It-s always good to test yourself against someone that you watch on TV. I-m sure I-ll cross paths with him quite a bit on Saturday but I-m looking forward to it.”

After back to back victories and the opportunity to make it three victories in row the 27-year-old is keen to continue on with the winning form.

“Of course you go into every match wanting to win and we just have to have that killer instinct to want to get the ball in the back of the net.

“We have always been upbeat and confident.”
