The Western Sydney Wanderers are set to launch their 2025 NPL Men’s NSW campaign with a highly anticipated clash against newly promoted Mt Druitt Town Rangers on Saturday 8 February at Wanderers Football Park.

With head coach Richie Cardozo at the helm, the Wanderers will once again showcase their dynamic and fearless brand of football – one that has provided a pathway for emerging talent to break into the A-League ranks and beyond.

The club’s commitment to youth development was evident in 2024, with the likes of Marcus Younis, Nathanael Blair, Zac Sapsford, and Aydan Hammond all making the leap to the A-League Men’s squad.

Looking ahead to 2025, a new wave of young stars is ready to step up. Jesse Cameron, Ryley Hollingdale, Luke Nieuwenhof, Awan Lual, Nathan Barries, Lucas Sinnott, Tristan Vidackovic, and Saxon Hillyer will all be ones to watch as they aim to make their mark in the competition.

The Wanderers kicked off last season’s campaign in dominant fashion, sitting atop of the table in the early rounds before a transitional period saw fresh Academy talent introduced.

This year, they will be aiming for greater consistency and will be hoping for a strong opening statement against Mt Druitt, who return to the top flight after winning promotion at the end of last season.

Mt Druitt has bolstered their squad with the signing of Joey Gibbs from Blacktown City, while Jude and Will Rankin add further depth to their lineup.

With two ambitious squads facing off, expect an exciting and high-energy season opener at Wanderers Football Park.
