The Wanderers Academy NPL 1 first grade team will take on Rockdale Ilinden on Sunday afternoon at Ilinden Sports Centre.
You can stream the match live here.
The match will mark Hyundai A-League assistant coach Patrick Zwaanswijk’s first match at helm for the Wanderers, after taking over in an interim role for the remainder of the season at the start of the week.
The clash against Rockdale will be the Red & Black’s toughest match yet with the opposition undefeated this season.
One point behind the league leaders, Rockdale will no doubt be putting on the pressure on the Wanderers young squad and their defence has yet to concede a goal this season.
Last round, Rockdale drew nill-all with Sydney Olympic and the return of Michael Neill and Alec Urosevski further bolstered an already dominant side.
The Wanderers have come in leaps and bounds over the last five rounds and despite not having many points to show for it, they have put in many great performances.
Wanderer Lochlan Constable will be one to watch in the match after opening the scoring just seven minutes in to last week’s clash against Mt Druitt Town Rangers.
After being initially recruited for our U15 side in 2016, Constable moved up through the ranks and is now part of the Wanderers Academy’s first grade team.
A Glenmore Park local, Constable is able to play in both midfield and defence.
