The Wanderers are coming into this match off the back of two straight losses, though they were competitive in both matches. Their most recent match against St George City took place over two days due to severe weather forcing the game to be initially called off on Saturday.
When the action resumed on Monday night, Jarrod Carluccio and Teng Kuol scored to make the score 2-2 with most of the second-half remaining, however the home side scored twice more to claim a 4-2 victory.
The result leaves the Wanderers in mid-table, with the side ahead of Sydney FC on goal difference.
Their attack has adjusted well to the jump to NPL level, with seven goals in three games.
Teng Kuol and Nathaniel Blair have two goals each, and the former was very impressive off the bench against St George.
Their opponents Sydney United are also looking to return to winning ways after experiencing their first defeat of the season last round.
They had a poor start to the game, conceding three goals in 28 minutes, which meant a second half goal from Chris Payne was a mere consolation.
The side from Edensor Park did win their opening two matches of the season, defeating Marconi 3-1 and Mt Druitt Town Rangers 3-2 in a thrilling match; this upcoming match is their first away from home this season.
A win for the Wanderers would see them move level on points with their opponents, and a win over the Australia Cup finalists would be a huge boost for the confidence of a young and talented side.
