After kicking off the season with a confident 3-0 win against NWS Spirit last weekend, the Red & Black will be looking to build on what was an impressive start to their campaign when they take on the 2019 Champions on Saturday night.
Wanderers first grade head coach Tomi Vidovic was no doubt pleased with the opening round performance which saw striker Jordi Swibel score a double, while substitute Jasper Webber lit up the match with both a goal and assist.
An astute defensive performance led by young guns Mark Natta and Nectar Triantis also ensured that the Wanderers held onto a very important clean sheet against the experienced side.
Heading into the match at Wanderers Football Park, Hills United will be hoping to bounce back from a Round 1 2-1 defeat to SD Raiders at home.
Despite equalising right before the break thanks to a header from Alex Mansueto, SD Raiders came away the stronger side thanks to Mark Cindric’s left-footed volley which snatched up all three points for the visitors.
With Hills United on the hunt for their first three points, the Red & Black’s young side will be tested in what is expected to be another entertaining fixture at Wanderers Football Park.
