Our NPL NSW side will look to win an unprecedented sixth game in a row when they travel to Manly United on Sunday.
The Wanderers are currently top of the table, restoring their two point gap ahead of the rest of the competition in their come from behind victory over St George FC last weekend.
The Saints twice were in the lead, but a double from captain Zac Sapsford and further goals from Alex Badolato and Nathaneal Blair secured a 4-2 victory for the Red and Black.
The win means the Wanderers have won seven of their opening eight games of the season so far, which represents a huge improvement on last season.
The improvement has also been symbolised by the hot form of striker Blair, who is the equal top scorer in the league this season with eight goals, already beating his tally from last season.
Their attack overall is the best in the competition, having scored 27 goals – 20 of those coming in the last five matches.
Their opponents on the other hand have the third worst attack in the competition and have not won since the opening night of the season.
They have secured credible draws over Blacktown City and Rockdale Ilinden, but their last two matches have resulted in disappointing losses to Sydney Olympic and Hills United.
Manly have struggled after the retirement of key player Matt Sim at the end of last season, and despite the best efforts from the likes of Harry McCarthy, the side from the Northern Beaches sit in 12th place heading into this match.
Their form at Cromer Park is stronger than their league position suggests, having only lost once there all season; they also came from behind last season when they played the Wanderers here, fighting back from 2-0 down to secure a share of the points.
The Wanderers won the first fixture between the sides in a dramatic 2-1 win, and they will back themselves to get a similar result once again on Sunday.
