The Western Sydney Wanderers are undefeated no more, after a 2-1 loss to Northern Tigers in their NPL 2 clash at Sydney United Sports Centre on Saturday night.
It was the Wanderers’ first loss of the season, a result which sees them now drop down to second place on the ladder, two points behind Marconi Stallions in first.
On Saturday night, Northern Tigers took a surprise two-goal lead in the first half thanks to strikes from Jordan Smylie and Liam McConaghy.
Cameron Devlin pulled one back for the Red & Black just before half time but that marked the end of the scoring, as the Tigers held on for the win.
Trevor Morgan’s side will look to bounce back to winning ways against the ninth-placed St George FC on Saturday night at Seymour Shaw.
