Pierias inks two-year deal

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of Dylan Pierias for the next two Isuzu UTE A-League seasons.

Pierias makes the move from A-Leagues outfit Western United, where he made his club debut under current Wanderers head coach Marko Rudan over four seasons ago.

The versatile forward made his competition debut back in 2017 as a 16-year-old for Melbourne City before becoming an integral part of the United set-up where he went on to make 94 league appearances.

An A-League Championship winner and former Young Player of the Year, Pierias brings added depth and versatility to the Wanderers front line.

Head coach Marko Rudan welcomed Dylan to the Wanderers.

“Dylan is a fantastic young man and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work with him again over the next two seasons in Western Sydney,” said Rudan.

“We welcome Dylan and his family to the Red & Black.”

Pierias said he was eager to work with head coach Marko Rudan again.

“I’ve worked with the Boss (head coach Marko Rudan) before and I was really excited when he called me to come across,” said Pierias.

“It was almost a no-brainer for me to work under him again. Obviously, the Wanderers members and fans too, seeing them every week and the RBB just looks like such an amazing atmosphere so I’ve always thought I’d love to play in front of that.

“I’m originally from Melbourne, but from the West. So being a Westie, having all those values made me want to come across.”
