Our Head Coach and mastermind of our Champions League victory Tony Popovic has been nominated for AFC Coach of the Year.
The winner will be announced in Minila, Philippines on Sunday 30 November.
Popovic is up against Norio Sasaki of the Japanese Women’s Team and former Palestine national coach Jamal Mahmoud.
No Australian has ever won this award.
We begin our first of four consecutive home matches this Wednesday 19 November as we take on rivals Central Coast Mariners.
Kick-off is 7:30pm at Pirtek Stadium.
