The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers take on Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park tonight, Tuesday 14 January just two and a half weeks since one of the matches of the season in Round 12.
The re-scheduled game sees the Wanderers take on fourth placed Melbourne Victory with the Red and Black hoping to go within one point of leaders Brisbane Roar with a win. Kick-off is at 7:30pm.
In the previous meeting Western Sydney took the lead through super-sub Brendon Santalab who scored with his second touch of the game. It looked to be the match winner however the points were shared when Gui Finkler converted an injury time free-kick to rob the Wanderers of the win.
The Wanderers go into the match on the back of a memorable victory over rivals Sydney FC in the Derby with Santalab again the spark off the bench scoring the winner in the 88th minute.
While both sides are down on numbers the Wanderers depth is something head coach Tony Popovic is proud of, witnessed by the debuts he-s given youngsters Daniel Alessi and Jaushua Sotirio so far this season.
That may continue with Sierra Leone-born Alusine Fofanah looking likely for a spot on the bench.
