The Wanderers twice took the lead against the Mariners and produced encouraging attacking play, with Angus Thurgate and Hiroshi Ibusuki finding the net, while Ryan Fraser pulled the strings in midfield.

Macarthur FC, meanwhile, head into the clash following a 1-0 loss to the Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium.

After a challenging exit from the AFC Champions League Two, Mile Sterjovski’s side were unable to convert their chances despite strong performances from goalkeeper Alexander Robinson and attacking substitutes Mitchell Duke and Chris Ikonomidis.

The clash marks the next step in the Wanderers’ string of away fixtures and with both sides hunting for points, the intensity and stakes are sure to be high.

Past encounters between these sides have produced exciting, competitive football and this weekend is expected to be no different.

For the Wanderers, the focus will be on converting attacking promise into a full 90-minute performance, while maintaining defensive solidarity to earn a result on the road.

The Red & Black are determined to make their mark in Campbelltown and continue their push up the ladder.
