It was a night to remember for Western Sydney Wanderers rising star Talia Younis, who reached an incredible milestone in the club’s mid-week clash against Melbourne City, making her 50th appearance in the Ninja A-League at just 17 years old.
Talia’s journey with the Wanderers has been extraordinary from the very start. Progressing through the club’s academy, where she trained alongside the boys’ squads for four seasons, she made her senior debut ahead of the 2023/24 season.
At just 14 years old, she became one of the youngest player to ever debut in the A-Leagues Women competition, instantly marking herself as one of Australia’s brightest young talents.
Since then, Talia has consistently impressed with her skill, composure, and versatility across midfield roles.
She played 15 games in the 2023/24 season, contributing key assists and showing a maturity on the ball that belies her years.

Her talent has also been recognised at the national level, with selection for the CommBank Junior Matildas squad for the AFC Under-17 Women’s Asian Cup in May 2024.
Reaching 50 appearances at such a young age is a remarkable achievement and speaks volumes about Talia’s dedication, resilience, and natural ability.
She has quickly become an important figure within the Wanderers squad, with her energy, intelligence, and flair on the pitch inspiring teammates and fans alike.
