A talented young defender of Indian descent, Shayne moved to Sydney in 2000 at four years old where he fell in love with football soon after.
The Cherrybrook local spent his youth career at Blacktown City before joining the Wanderers for the Foxtel National Youth League 2013/14 season where he earned selection in the Young Socceroos.
Heading to Blacktown City to win the NSW NPL1 in 2014 during the NYL off-season, Shayne returned to the Wanderers and after impressing Tony Popovic, he made his first-team debut in Round 25 of the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 season against Central Coast Mariners – become the first Indian-born Hyundai A-League player in the process.
Shayne’s form and potential earned him a contract extension, signing a new deal on 9 June 2015. He left the club on 1 June 2016 following the end of his contract.
