Western Sydney Wanderers FC have tonight confirmed the signing of forward Aidan Simmons on a two-year scholarship deal.
Simmons joins the Red & Black from the club’s cross-town rivals where he has been part of their National Premier League 1 squad and Academy set-up.
The 19-year-old winger said he was excited to have two great seasons at the club.
“Looking at my position, I’m a winger. I want to be dribbling at defenders, making the opposition defence a bit worried about my ability on the ball and I definitely want to contribute to some goals and assists in the team,” said Simmons.
“Having them (the fans) support you will be an amazing feeling to have on the field. To be given the opportunity to be training in the first-team environment is a great opportunity for me and I just had to take it with both hands.
“I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be a great opportunity and I’m ready to do some damage.”
