Two weeks to go until Wanderers take on Leeds United

There are only two weeks to go until the Western Sydney Wanderers take on Leeds United at the new Bankwest Stadium to officially open the stadium for football.

You can get your tickets to the match here.

Marcelo Bielsa is set to bring a full-strength side – including the likes of Patrick Bamford, Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez – for what will be the first football match at the impressive new venue.

Leeds are heading Down Under as part of their pre-season preparations for the upcoming Championship campaign and will also take on Manchester United in Perth on July 17.

While the clash is seen as an important building block for Leeds ahead of another campaign where they are chasing promotion to the Premier League, it’s also vital for Markus Babbel and the Wanderers.

The German coach is likely to hand club debuts to new recruits like Dylan McGowan, Pirmin Schwegler, Radoslaw Majewski, Daniel Georgievski and Daniel Lopar.

It will also be a key hitout for the club ahead of their first competitive match in this year’s FFA Cup Round of 32.
