Wander & Kick After Roar Game

Wander & Kick After Roar Game

Supporters are invited to play on the very same pitch as their favourite stars from the NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers this Sunday.

Supporters are invited to play on the very same pitch as their favourite stars from the NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers this Sunday.

In the second instalment of the “Wander and Kick” initiative, fans and families are invited to kick a football around the Parramatta Stadium pitch after the match this Sunday.

And the Wanderers will swap your old ball for a new one.

After the Wanderers clash with reigning Hyundai A-League Champions Brisbane Roar FC at 5pm, Parramatta Stadium, the hallowed turf of Western Sydney, will be opened up for supporters.

And to celebrate the return of top level football to Western Sydney, the Wanderers naming rights Partner, NRMA Insurance will host the Ball Amnesty where fans can bring their used balls (size 3 and above) to a Wanderers match and receive a brand new NRMA Insurance Wanderers football in return.

Wanderers Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman said the initiatives were new and unique ways of connecting with the community and inspiring young footballers.

“The ‘Wander and Kick- and Ball Amnesty are extensions of our commitment to engage with the community at every level and connect with as many people as possible,” Gorman said.

“We are all about nurturing the game and the dreams of young people and we hope to inspire them with our football and give them the opportunity to participate in something special.

“We are excited about our first game at the family-friendly time at 5pm on a Sunday and hope that as many people as possible take the opportunity to kick a football on the pitch that only minutes earlier hosted the stars from the Wanderers and reigning champions Brisbane Roar.”

This Sunday is the first Sunday match for the Wanderers and it is at the family-friendly time of 5pm.

The special post match “Wander and Kick” where members and fans will be able to come onto the pitch for their very own kick around will commence twenty minutes after fulltime.
