The Wanderers Academy is set to host the Kashima Antlers Academy in an exciting international friendly on Tuesday night at Wanderers Football Park.
This marks the second time the Japanese powerhouse has traveled to Western Sydney for friendly matches against the Wanderers Academy, with their last visit in 2023 resulting in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
The history between the two clubs extends beyond the Academy, with the Wanderers’ A-Leagues side having previously faced Kashima Antlers in the group stage of the Asian Champions League back in 2015.
Matches like these play a vital role in the Wanderers’ ongoing commitment to fostering relationships with clubs across Asia.
These encounters provide invaluable experience for the next generation of footballers, exposing them to different styles of play and helping to develop their skills on an international stage.
The action kicks off at 5:30pm, with the Wanderers U15s taking on Kashima Antlers U16s. The second match of the night will see the Wanderers U16s/17s go head-to-head with the Antlers U18s at 7:00pm.
Members and Fans are encouraged to come down to Wanderers Football Park and support the Academy in what promises to be a great showcase of international youth football.
