Wanderers and Chisel win Best Membership Drive or Fan Engagement Campaign at 2023 Mumbrella Sports Marketing Awards

Western Sydney Wanderers FC, together with creative powerhouse Chisel, have won the 2023 Mumbrella Sports Marketing Award for Best Membership Drive or Fan Engagement Campaign for The Fabric of this club is all around us campaign.

The fabric of this club is all around us continued the Wanderers ongoing multicultural and inclusivity campaign with a range of languages spoken and nationalities represented in the video.

Wanderers member and Western Sydney local ‘Big Skeez’ narrates and performs his Afro Swing track “UP” in campaign, which speaks of the mentality, resilience and attitude of the people in Western Sydney.

Throughout the video, the fabric of the kit is also used as a metaphor for the Wanderers role in the Western Sydney region that goes beyond simply being a football club, rather a sum of all parts of the region – “The fabric of this club, it’s all around us.”

All facets of the Wanderers community are also represented from members, fans, partners and the club’s community programs which are underpinned by the Wanderers Foundation including Nexus Soccer Solutions Program, Future Wander Women Program, Wanderers School visits, Inclusivity Programs and more. 

Chisel was also named the 2023 Sports Agency of the Year while its campaign for Western Sydney Wanderers FC won Best Membership Drive or Fan Engagement Campaign.
