The Western Sydney Wanderers are proud to announce that JD Sports will be extending their partnership to the club’s inaugural E-League season, coming on board as the official front-of-shirt partner.

The Wanderers are the first and only club to have a front-of-shirt partner in the inaugural E-League season with JD Sports supporting the Red & Black in their quest for silverware.

The Western Sydney Wanderers and JD Sports have quickly grown their relationship since the club’s historic match against Arsenal and look forward to extending this partnership to the E-League.

JD Sports offers leading global brands across a wide category of products including footwear and apparel for men, women and children, from performance to lifestyle, presented in a highly immersive, multi-channel, retail environment, which has never been seen before on the Australian market.

Expanding to more locations in Western Sydney with a customer base that directly aligns with the E-League, Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas says he is excited to see where this partnership will take the two brands.

“E-League Sports are huge with the younger demographic and we are looking forward to leveraging this with JD Sports,” said Tsatsimas.

“We are very excited to be working again with JD Sports, this time in the inaugural season of the E-League, and plan to work together to continue connecting with our growing youth demographic.”

JD Sports’ Australian Chairman Hilton Seskin says he is excited to align this partnership with the interests of JD Sports’ global market.

“JD are excited to be part of the inaugural E-League competition and continue our partnership with the Western Sydney Wanderers,” said Seskin.

“As one of the biggest growth sports globally, eSports is also growing rapidly in our market and FIFA is a key interest of our football obsessed consumer.

“As the World Cup quickly approaches, we’re feeling the momentum around football in Australia rising and the E-League is the perfect opportunity to continue our partnership in a fun and interactive way.”

With the E-League kicking off tonight, the Football Federation of Australia and Electronic Arts have announced that the E-League will officially be joining the EA Sports FIFA 18 Global Series on the Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup™ 2018.

The Red & Black have recruited well for the inaugural season of the competition signing Joseph Nassar and Rick Tran to their team.

Crowd favourite Joseph “OhNoAGoat” Nassar broke into the FIFA Competitive gaming scene back in 2017 after winning 145 games in the November Weekend League and has qualified twice to the World Regional Finals.

Nassar will be representing the club on XBOX and his favourite formation is 4-3-2-1.

Rick Tran, known in the scene as Rdoublettt, comes into the competition after a great February campaign that saw him win 66 matches in the lead-up to the first round of the competition.

Tran will be representing the Wanderers on Playstation 4.
